Education publisher Pearson in shock tie-up with former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller

Pearson stunned investors with a surprise deal with the former manager of the Spice Girls.

The education publisher wants to transform from a maker of dusty old textbooks to a Netflix-for-learning style business.

Pearson has teamed up with Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment to create a course called Academy of Pop that will teach customers how to become pop stars.
