The moment a pedestrian was hit by a car as he attempted to run across a busy intersection has been caught on camera.
The shocking footage was recorded near City Road in Melbourne and uploaded to Facebook group Dash Cam Owners Australia on Wednesday.
A red car can be seen traveling through a yellow light at an intersection before colliding with a man in a high-visibility shirt.

Footage shows the man being flung into the air and land in the middle of the road as two people ran to see if he’s ok.
The man was rushed to hospital with broken ribs.
The video has been viewed over 30,000 times and attracted a number of comments.
‘Poor driver! I am so frightened this could happen to me the way people just walk/run out in front of cars… it’s insane,’ wrote one person.
‘Got to feel sorry for the driver but have no sympathy for the idiot that decided to run on red pedestrian light that’s karma at its finest,’ said another.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Victoria Police for comment.
