Celebrity-beloved fitness brand Peloton has launched a new product in Australia that promises to enhance your strength training from the comfort of your own home.
Peloton Guide is available now with prices starting at $445 if you’ve already got a membership, or at an additional $35 a month for 2022 if you’re a newbie to the fitness regime.
The company, which is well-known for its exercise bikes, are using the Guide to enter the strength space, with new videos to watch and moves to perform that will tone your body in a matter of weeks.
It’s a webcam-like device that attaches to your TV with a HDMI cable, allowing you to set up your mat and weights in front of it and begin your workout at any time.

‘Firstly to achieve a well-rounded fitness routine you need to be training your entire body and not overworking one muscle group,’ Peloton Instructor Ben Alldis said.
‘The Body Activity feature recognises what body parts you have already trained that week and will recommend complementary classes to ensure you get a well-rounded and constructive workout.

‘Self-Mode is another one of my favourite features on Peloton Guide. It can be quite intimidating trying out new movements, especially as a beginner. With Self Mode, you’ll be able to see yourself next to the Instructor and check your form.’
In June 2021 Peloton delighted fans by bringing its world-renowned home fitness subscription program to Australia.
The exercise platform, which boasts celebrity fans including Beyonce and is known for bringing the energy of group fitness classes into your living room, rolled out on July 14 along with its famous spin bikes and app.

The bikes have become a global hit thanks to their interactive HD touchscreens that provide access to more than 15,000 fitness classes, both live and pre-recorded, curated playlists and more than five million like-minded community members.

But the celebrity-endorsed equipment does come with a Hollywood price tag, with the Peloton Bike costing $2,295 and the Bike+, $3,695.
The price includes delivery but it costs an additional $59/month for a subscription to unlimited live and on-demand classes.
With the average member participating in 26 classes per month, however, it is significantly less expensive than the average gym membership and far more convenient.
Beyonce has been a Peloton member for several years and has described it as a company that helps people ‘be the best version of themselves’
Peloton was founded in New York City in 2012, when CEO John Foley struggled to fit studio gym classes into his busy schedule with two kids at home.
He set out to bring the benefits of studio-style classes into the home so people could access the motivation, music, power and intensity of them anytime and anywhere.
With live and on-demand classes taught by a roster of elite instructors, the brand’s immersive content will be accessible for Australians through the bikes along with the Peloton App.
With instant access to classes, performance tracking metrics and a motivating real-time leaderboard, Aussies will be able to enjoy a workout as well as a comprehensive and socially connected-experience in their own homes.
