British McDonald’s customers are ‘livid’ after the fast food chain announced it would unveil adult Happy Meals in the US – but they won’t be available in the UK.
Announcing the news on Instagram last week, McDonald’s confirmed it will release BigMac or 10-piece Chicken McNugget Happy Meals for adults complete with a ‘toy’ like collectables from fashion brands.
The news sparked excitement that British shoppers might soon get their hands on the novelty release, however their hopes were dashed yesterday when McDonald’s confirmed they will only be available in the US.
Many burger fans took to Twitter to voice their dismay at the revelation with one person saying: ‘Feel like pure s*** just want adult happy meals in the UK ‘

Manchester Evening News had contacted McDonald’s to see if the new menu update would cross the Atlantic, however a McDonald’s spokesperson dashed hopes by saying: ‘We have no plans to roll this out in the UK.’
Many were not disappointed by the news with one person saying: ‘If the UK doesn’t release Adult Happy Meals like the US that’ll be so s***.’
Another wrote: ‘I am livid that McDonald’s aren’t bringing adult happy meals to the UK, why are all promotions US based’.
Someone else said: ‘PLEASE DO THE ADULT HAPPY MEALS IN THE UK, I WAS GUTTED WHEN I FOUND OUT YOU WERE ONLY DOING IT IN AMERICA. I WANT AN ADULT HAPPY MEAL’.
