People think I’m lying about wearing 28GG bras – but they don’t understand how cup sizing really works

A woman whose bra size is 28GG (28J in the US) has revealed some people think she’s lying about her cup size.

Jen Warnes, who posts videos on TikTok reviewing bras for women with bigger breasts, revealed some people tell her she is attention-seeking with her content.

In her most recent video, Jen posted a comment left by a viewer on one of her videos which said: ‘She’s not a J cup. Just wants attention by claiming to have a larger chest than she really has.’

She then went on to demonstrate that the person who left the comment was in the wrong, by trying on a new 28J bra and explaining how it fits perfectly.

Although Jen is from the UK, she uses both US and UK measurements to explain sizings to her followers, with 28J in the US being 28GG in the UK.

Jen tries out bras on TikTok

Jen Warnes, who posts bra reviews for larger cup sizes on TikTok, revealed some people do not believe she really wears a size 28GG (28J) but explained most people don’t understand how bra sizes work

At the beginning of the video, Jen says: ‘Am I really a J cup or am I just doing it for attention? I’ll let you decide that!’

She then presents to the camera a new pink bra and shows the label, which says the item is indeed a US size 28J.

In the next shot, she tries on the bra and explains that the underwire fits flat against her chest and the cups entirely surround her breast tissue.

She says: ‘The reason why you think I might be lying is that we are so used to being put in the wrong bra size that we just have no perception of what the correct size actually looks like.’

Now she is wearing a second bra, which she reveals does not fit very well and points out the ways in which it doesn’t best support her.

She points out that the underwire does not sit flat on her chest and revealed that when she used to wear it, she would be ‘constantly readjusting throughout the day’.

Jen says: ‘It actually pokes into my tissue and the band rides up my back.’

Going back to the original comment, she says: ‘You’re right, I am doing it for attention.’

Jen then explains she is actively trying to bring attention to her page so other women with small frames and large breasts can ‘find things that fit them’.

Responding to Jen’s video, commenters supported her message and agreed that many women don’t understand bra sizes.

One person said: ‘Guarantee the commenter isn’t wearing their correct size.’

Another told her: ‘You go girl! People have been brainwashed to think there’s no size above DDD.’
