There’s a lot to consider when you head out for a day at the races, but arguably shoe choice is one of the most important decisions.
Being on your feet all day can be quite a task, especially after a few champagnes, and then there’s the prospect of sinking into the grass.
But what if your fancy footwear could not only keep you comfortable all day but allow you to order drinks and even book your car home?

This is exactly what the creators of ‘The Undpredictaheel’ have pulled off, just in time for Spring Racing season.
Designed by Kira Goodey, whose creations have been worn by Lady Gaga and Kylie Jenner, the striking shoe will be debuted by E! Australia host Ksenija Lukich.

‘It’s a wild shoe you get to wear – it is so cool. I feel a little fabulous and a little Lady Gaga,’ Ksenija said.
The footwear has a whole host of features, which include a Kick and Pay, and even a Race Alert to let you know when to get track-side.

However, the E! Australia host said her favourite is the Tap and Go, which seems like something straight out of the Wizard Of Oz.
‘My favourite one is the Dorothy tap and go feature – where you literally kick your heels together and it orders your car to go home’, Ksenija said.
‘Honestly it is so funny, I’m excited to use that one at the end of the day.’
Shoe designer to the stars, Kira Goodley, said she worked hard to incorporate both practicality and style into the eccentric footwear.
‘There’s a lot of different things you can do at the races so we’ve tried to make the shoes appropriate for all the different activities,’ she said.
Head of Commercial Australian Turf Club Jeffrey Lemon is equally excited about the innovative design, saying it incorporates the fun of Spring Carnival.
‘At the Sydney Spring Carnival, anything can happen. When you set foot in Royal Randwick you just have to expect the unexpected.
‘This season we are going to truly showcase the fun and unpredictability of a full day at the races,’ he said.
There will be four styles of the heel rolled out across racing season, and while they’re not available to the public yet punters should keep their eyes peeled until later this year if they’re hoping to snap up a pair.
