Perrie Edwards looks relaxed in a distressed leather jacket as she leaves BBC Radio 1 – after admitting she almost dumped Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain

Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards cut a relaxed figure in a distressed leather jacket as she stepped out after performing at the BBC Radio 1studio on Thursday.

The songstress, 31, looked radiant as she layered the brown jacket over a ribbed white vest top, which featured a black patterned design.

She paired her white-trimmed coat with a pair of midnight blue trousers.

To finish her look, she slipped into a pair of forest green Nike high-top trousers and accessorised with a brown bag with a gold chain handle.

For the outing, she styled her blonde tresses with loose beachy waves and natural makeup.

Her stunning appearance comes after she revealed how she once tried to split from fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Perrie, who now shares three-year-old son Axel with Alex, is said to have asked the footballer, also 31, for a break due to her work schedule with Little Mix.

A source told The Sun: ‘You Go Your Way is about how Perrie asked Alex for a break before going on tour with Little Mix.

‘At the time they were still not official.

‘Perrie thought due to the distance, they should go their own way and hopefully find each other in the future.

‘Alex hated the idea and made it official then and there.’

MailOnline contacted Perrie’s reps for comment at the time.

The couple have been dating since 2016 but they didn’t go public with their romance until February 2017.

They then welcomed son Axel in August 2021 before Axel popped the question almost a year later.

In a recent podcast  Perrie revealed the ‘horrendous’ regret Little Mix had that almost caused them to get back together prematurely following their split in 2022.

She admitted her and her fellow bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall initially panicked after they ‘put their foot down’ to go solo.

The band formed alongside Jesy Nelson on The X Factor in 2011, going on to win the show and achieve worldwide success.

However, after over a decade of working hard, Perrie admitted the girls were left ‘bored out of our minds’ after their split with all the free time they suddenly had.

The mother-of-one said that her, Leigh-Anne, 32, and Jade, 31, were texting each other saying they were ‘sick’ of sitting around.

She recalled: ‘I remember we sat at home and we were in a WhatsApp group and we were like, I’m bored. What are you up to today?

‘And Leigh-Anne would be like, “I’m actually sick of this.” And Jade’s like, “Yeah, why did we push for this again?”

‘And I’m like, “We’ve done it now, we have to see it through.” Cause we were like, should we go back? Like, should we just, it was so weird. It was like, that was abnormal to us.

‘We were bored out of our minds, it was horrendous and now I love doing nothing. Like I’m really good at it.

‘So I don’t think I’d like struggle that much. I love working and I love also not working. So I think it’s a good balance.’
