A huge fireball filled the skies in Perth late last night after an explosion at a chemical warehouse.
Residents in Bibra Lake, a suburb of the city, heard a loud bang at around 9pm – with some saying they felt their homes shake.
A HAZMAT warning has been issued, with people in Bibra Lake and the surrounding suburbs of South Lake, North Lake, and Coolbellup urged to stay indoors and keep their doors and windows closed.
People were also told to turn off their air conditioning.
Authorities said the fire was causing ‘a potentially dangerous smoke blowing in an easterly-north easterly direction’.
