Pet-rified! Young pup shakes uncontrollably on the way to the vets

Parents trying to take an unwilling child to the doctor may be met with kicking, screaming and crying.

And a similar show of reluctance was displayed by one-year-old pup Yon, who was terrified about his trip to the vets on Monday.

But rather than ferocious barking or yelping, this nervous Thai ridgeback started uncontrollably shaking when he realised where his owner was taking him.

Owner Nong Kullanit, from Ayutthaya, Thailand, was driving Yon to the vets when she observed the canine sit bolt upright on the front seat and begin shuddering after he recognised the route from previous visits.

Her short clip shows the brown fur pooch’s body wobbling from the neck all the way down to his torso. 

In the video, Kullanit says: ‘Come on boy, are you afraid? Because you are so stubborn, I didn’t tell you before that we were going to the vets.’ 

She explained that Yon had been to the vets before for a blood test from a previous illness and she believes he remembers the painful experience. 

This time he was having a check-up, which also involved a blood test, to monitor his progress.  

The dog owner said: ‘My dog has been sick before. The vets took his blood with a needle. 

‘He didn’t like it and when he knew we were going to the vets he was scared. 

‘He was fine when he started the journey but then he recognised where we were going he started shaking. I felt sorry for him but visiting the vets is for his benefit.’
