Pete Davidson pokes fun at Ariana Grande engagement on SNL as he jokes he ‘switched her birth control with Tic-Tacs’

Pete Davidson’s engagement with Ariana Grande has already brought plenty of material for Saturday Night Live’s 44th season.

The 24-year-old comedian’s relationship was the subject of three different sketches during the iconic reality show’s season premiere on Saturday.

Perhaps the funniest moment came when he joked that he had ‘switched her birth control with Tic-Tacs’ during a segment on Weekend Update.

Pete began the segment seemingly still in disbelief that he was in a relationship with 25-year-old hitmaker.

He said:  ‘I got engaged and no one could believe it. I can’t believe it and I get it. She’s number one pop star in the world and I’m that guy from SNL everyone thinks is in desperate need of more blood.’

He even likened himself to the BatKid who had stolen the hearts of San Francisco residents back in 2013 in the  most elaborate Make-A-Wish project of all-time.

Pete joked: ‘You remember when that whole city pretended he was Batman because he was like sick. That’s what this has been like.’

Earlier in the night,  there was a hilarious sketch featuring Kyle Mooney in which he expressed envy over Davidson’s eventful summer.
