Pete Evans reveals he’s been doing alternative therapy for decades

Pete Evans has revealed that he’s had alternative therapy for two decades and has taken along his daughters since they were toddlers. 

The My Kitchen Rules judge – who backs the controversial paleo diet – revealed how much he’s gained from doing the Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET).

Speaking to News.com.au’s Balls Deep podcast, the 45-year-old explained: ‘It’s something I do with the kids from time to time ever since they were basically one-year-old.’

‘It’s just like taking your car in to get serviced,’ Pete said. 

‘Some people, like myself, like to take our minds or brains in to get emotional work and releasing done to help navigate this world that we live in.’

Pete said he’s never seen a psychiatrist or psychologist and explained he first took one of his daughters along for a session after she was born with a tumour.

Pete claimed the therapy helped his daughter ‘get in a state of healing,’ while saying psychiatry and psychology ‘doesn’t really work that much.’

Earlier this year, Pete made headlines when he revealed he had checked into a $15,000 ‘brain upgrade facility’ in Seattle for an intensive 5-day course.

Pete spent time at the 40 Years of Zen Training Centre.  

The program is the brainchild of Albuquerque entrepreneur, ‘Bulletproof Coffee’ inventor and self-professed ‘biohacker’ Dave Asprey.

‘The idea is simple. Your brain uses electricity. If you turn it into sounds and play them back to your brain, your brain gets new information about how it’s doing,’ he explains on the program’s website.

He said humanity’s tried to ‘understand what was happening inside the head for thousands of years’ – but now he’s finally found and ‘hacked’ the technology.
