Peter Andre gushed over his wife Emily but admitted that she is a ‘very strict mum’ as he gave a candid new interview to The Times on Sunday.
The singer, 50, praised her for being ‘smart and sensible and organised’ and for ‘bringing out the simple part of him again’ after a crazy rise to fame.
During the chat he also opened up about his tough childhood and growing up with parents who are Jehovah’s Witnesses – revealing the only book he had to read as a child was the Bible.
Speaking about Emily he said: ‘She’s smart and sensible and organised, and she makes me see things very differently.
‘She has made me be like I was when I was really young. I sort of went into this crazy life from my late teens to 40 and then all of a sudden she has brought out the simple part of me again.’

But he added that she is a very strict mother and that the kids aren’t allowed any screen time at home apart from on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Peter shares children Princess, 15, and Junior, 17, with ex wife Katie Price while with Emily he has children Amelia, nine, and Theo, six.
At home their dining table is a ‘no-phones zone’ and a one-screen policy is enforced when the family sit down to watch TV together.
Peter joked that there was a lot of ‘eye-rolling’ from his older kids about the phone policy when they spent time with him at the Surrey home.
During the chat to promote his new children’s book he opened up about having parents who are Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Until the age of 16 Andre went to church five days a week and did door-knocking, while the only book allowed in his house was the Bible.
He explained that because of his upbringing he was bullied a lot growing up and then rebelled against it all in his ‘mad’ twenties after being denied so many life experiences.
He added that even now he keeps thing from his parents to protect them.

Peter explained: ‘Mum is very, very, very devout, so there will always be guilt. It’s my mum and I love her so much, and it’s, like, well, if you love her, why wouldn’t you give her what she wants? So it’s hard.’
It comes after last year Peter revealed that he never celebrated Christmas until becoming a father due to being raised a Jehovah’s Witness.
Peter revealed to The Mirror has he first experienced Christmas after becoming a father for the first time in 2005.
The television personality grew up in Australia with his dad Savvas and mum Thea, who he has described as were ‘devout Jehovah’s Witnesses and very strict Christians’.
Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas or Easter because they believe that these festivals are based on (or massively contaminated by) pagan customs and religions.
He told the publication: ‘I grew up in a strict household of Jehovah’s Witnesses. We didn’t celebrate birthdays or Christmas or anything like that.’
Peter said that while he is no longer part of the faith he still respected everything he learnt during the childhood.
Going on to say: ‘But one of the things is a lot of people say is: ‘Do you feel you missed out’ and I say: ‘Well, you don’t know any different’.
‘But, now the kids are going through it I get to live it through them and it’s beautiful’.
Admitting that it may now be ‘even more special’ because he experiences things for the first time along with his offspring.
It comes after Peter’s wife Emily recently gushed that her marriage is ‘stronger than ever’ despite the singer being away from home for months.
The NHS doctor, who tied the knot with Peter in 2015, revealed the couple don’t always get to spend much quality time together due to their busy schedules.
However, the mum-of-two admitted they put in the extra effort for date nights when they do reunite as the distance isn’t the issue.
She told The Sun: ‘We always make time for each other, we just get on with it really.
‘He hasn’t been this busy in years, it’s crazy. He’s doing loads of different things and it’s one after the next – he’ll finish one thing and then there’s something else.’
The couple recently celebrated the Mysterious Girl singers 50th birthday on a lavish getaway to Dubai, with one week by themselves and the second with their children.
Emily said she is planning another ‘night away together’ at some point as that is all her husband asked for for his birthday.
The doctor admitted she is struggling to fit it in with his work schedule as he only has ‘three Saturday’s free from now til August’.

Emily revealed her marriage has gone from strength to strength over the years and the couple have learn’t how to adjust to their crazy lifestyle.
The beauty also admitted the sweet thing she does when she goes to bed and Peter is away working.
She said: ‘I always miss him when he’s away. When he’s not there, I literally leave his side of the bed completely untouched – the cushions are still there, so in the night I almost feel that he’s still there. I literally just sleep in a straight line.’
Peter and Emily married in a lavish ceremony at Mamhead House in Exeter in 2015.
