Peter Dutton’s Coalition plans to tackle the housing crisis by cutting the number of international students in higher education by 80,000.

The drastic drop in university and VET student intake will soon be unveiled as part of Mr Dutton’s immigration policy, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The move would see Australia’s acceptance of foreign students drop from a high of 320,000 in 2023 to about 240,000 through a percentage cap at public universities.
