And Phillip Schofield left fans in hysterics once again as he went on a frenzied Christmas rampage when an old alarm decided to start blaring in the middle of the night.
Likening his ordeal to ‘bomb disposal’, the frantic This Morning presenter teetered on the verge of hysteria as he cut multiple wires before finally smashing the ‘unkillable’ alarm to pieces with a hammer.

The 55-year-old was forced to clamber up a ladder to reach the offending alarm, which continued to blare out despite taking a heavy battering.
Sharing a snap of the alarm, he complained on Snapchat: ‘Old disconnected alarm!! Hasn’t made a sound in 20 years!!! Wtf!!!’
Venting his frustration at the sound, he yelled in disbelief: ‘Oh my god it’s still going! What the hell where is this sound coming from.’
He eventually silenced the alarm – only to realise a second alarm was blaring out in the distance.

Clutching his face in despair, he swivelled around in the shed and shrieked: ‘What the hell?’
The wild-eyed father-of-two then seized upon a second alarm mounted on the ceiling, exclaiming: ‘It’s another one! I found another one! Who the hell are you?
‘What do you do? Who are you? Why are you there? You have no job! You haven’t made a sound in 20 years, shut up!’
The next video showed Phillip – looking distinctly harried – clutching the alarm and hovering a pair of cutters over the wire.
He breathed: ‘I swear to God if this wire doesn’t do it, we’ll have this for Christmas.’
Taking a pregnant pause, the daytime TV favourite cut the wire with quivering hands – but the stubborn alarm kept screeching on.

Laughing hysterically, he yelled ‘Oh my god, oh my God! What the hell? It’s like f**king bomb disposal!’ before battering the device with a hammer screeching ‘die!’
The alarm eventually clattered onto the floor but still screeched on, prompting a cackling Phillip to declare ‘The inside’s fell out on the floor! It’s unkillable! It’s not even connected! What the hell?’
With one final earth-shattering batter, he managed to silence his enemy as he roared a battle cry of ‘Shut up!’

Phil also wasn’t a fan of cardamom gin but did like the rhubarb flavour.

He told The Sun: ‘They need to avoid alcohol, any overindulgence on Christmas Day and sex. Absolutely no sex. It drains you of your chi.
‘I’m being serious. Like boxers, they will have to abstain. I’m going to.’
