Vanity Fair’s cover shoot staring Oprah Winfrey went from a star-studded event to a Photoshop fail after the publication accidentally gave the icon three hands.
For the magazine’s 24th annual ‘Hollywood’ issue, Oprah, 63, posed alongside A-list stars such as Robert De Niro and Nicole Kidman, with Reese Witherspoon sitting on her lap.
Although the pictures are undoubtedly stunning, there appears to be not one but two major Photoshopping mistakes that went unnoticed before publication.

In one of the images, Oprah has a hand on her hip, a hand on her lap, and then a third hand wrapped around Reese’s waist.
The two appear to be laughing at something Tom Hanks said, and while Oprah’s hands are firmly in front of her, four of her fingers pictured hugging her A Wrinkle in Time co-star’s side.
The mistake prompted people to poke fun of the magazine on Twitter, joking that she does indeed have three hands.
‘Listen Oprah might have three hands,’ Jason Abbruzzese wrote, while Steve Bayorgeon added: ‘Everyone knows Oprah has three hands.’
‘”Ole Three-Hands Oprah”. That’s what her friends call her,’ someone else teased.
And one person couldn’t resist mentioning Oprah’s potential run for president.
‘Now that Oprah has been exposed as an alien with three hands, her prospective presidential candidacy takes on more sinister overtones,’ Yair Rosenberg commented.

Three may be Vanity Fair’s lucky number, as people also took to Twitter on Thursday to point out that it looks like 41-year-old Reese has three legs on the cover.
‘I do wonder about Reese’s 3 legs?’ someone named Nichole wrote. ‘Her flesh is not the same color as the inside of her dress.’
‘If you’re struggling at work today, just remember that you aren’t the person who let photos of Reese Witherspoon with three legs AND Oprah with three hands go to print,’ Christine Jackson joked.
Meanwhile, someone named Zoe credited Reese’s third leg for her success.
‘How does Reese Witherspoon get so much done all at once?’ she wrote. ‘She produces and stars in movies and TV shows, owns a fashion line, and helps organize the Time’s Up movement all at the same time? Well, it’s probably because she has three legs.’
The possible snafu caught so much attention, Reese actually responded to the controversy on Twitter.
‘Well…I guess everybody knows now…I have 3 legs,’ she wrote. ‘I hope you can still accept me for who I am. ( and I will never apologize for snuggling @Oprah .. if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend it.’
The actress was all smiles on Thursday while taking her son Tennessee James Toth to school in Los Angeles.
Reese, a vocal advocate for gender equality, supported the ‘Time’s Up’ movement while wearing a black sweater supporting the cause.
She paired the top with cropped, flared jeans and leopard ankle boots for the quick school run.
