Amusing footage of a physics teacher celebrating a successful experiment by ‘dabbing’ has seen him become an internet star.

The educator, from Singapore, was showing students how a piece of paper will fall at the same rate as a heavy textbook when placed on top of it.

In order to demonstrate, he stands on top of a table as his pupils chatter excitedly.

‘Textbook – that’s heavy,’ he says holding up the thick object in his hand before holding up a sheet of paper and saying: ‘Paper – that’s light’.

He then places the paper on top of the book and says, ‘let’s try this’, before counting down from three.

He drops the textbook with the piece of paper falling at the same speed and his students go wild.

Basking in his success, the teacher then performs a ‘dab’, a popular dance move in which a person drops the head into the bent crook of a slanted arm while holding the other arm out straight in a parallel direction.

The video was uploaded to Facebook on Monday and it has since received more than 700,000 views.
