But becoming a mother wasn’t always a priority for Eva, with friends close to the star revealing she changed her mind about having children when she married ‘soulmate’ Pepe and met his three kids.
A source revealed the actress ‘wasn’t focused’ on having a baby until she became a step-mother to her media mogul beau’s offspring, daughter Natalia, 22, and twins Mariana and Jose, 14, who he shares with ex-wife Natalia Esperón.
‘She loves kids, but it’s not something she focused on,’ the insider told People.
‘Meeting Pepe and becoming a stepmom made her more open to the idea. She loves his kids and now they’re really excited to be expanding the family.’

Jose and ex-wife Natalia also had a son Sebastian, tragically died days after birth in 2003.
Eva previously heaped praise on her step-children, and said that having their own baby would be the ‘icing on the cake’.
Speaking in 2015, the actress told People: ‘They’ve been such a gift in my life.
‘I just turned 40, so I have thought, “Is time running out?” I should be thinking about [children], but I feel like my life is full.
‘I don’t feel like we are lacking because we don’t have a baby. We are fulfilled. If there is anything else to come, it would be icing on the cake.’
Eva and Pepe – the president of Televisa – began dating in 2013 and got engaged two years later in Dubai, before tying the knot in his native Mexico in May 2016.

Eva previously described her husband as her ‘soulmate’, telling Entertainment Tonight: ‘Pepe and I are soulmates – I don’t even know how to explain it, because it’s like we’re two different sides of the same coin.

‘[José] complements my life,’ she told In Touch Weekly. ‘We have the same values and the same work ethic, and we’re not only really dedicated to our careers, but also to our families.’
Eva was previously married to General Hospital star Tyler Christopher, 45, from 2002 to 2004 and to NBA basketball player Tony Parker, 35 from 2007 to 2011.
