PICTURED: Colombian singer, 24, found dead in music exec Miami Beach hotel room

The woman who was found dead in the bathtub of a Miami Beach hotel room rented by married music exec David Bolno was a wannabe singer who aimed to make it big by posting sexy bikini shots and videos on social media, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

Camila Sterling, 24, was discovered face up in the tub after Bolno had left the room at the hotspot Miami hotel the Setai.

A police report stated Bolno, 46, checked out of the hotel at 4.30am on March 30, leaving Colombia-born Sterling there. Her body wasn’t found until 1pm.

Cops say a suspicious substance was found in Room 2805 along with Sterling’s body. They have not said what that substance was.

The cause of Sterling’s death has not yet been revealed and Miami police say that Bolno is not a person of interest in the case.

‘There is an open death investigation pending the toxicology report from the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the official cause of death,’ a police spokesman said.

‘Mr. Bolno has cooperated with our investigation and is not a person of interest.’

Bolno, who is married with two children and lives in Los Angeles, told DailyMail.com that Sterling’s death was a ‘terrible tragedy’ but he stressed that he was not in the room when she died.

‘From what I was told she was found much later in the day,’ he said.

He says she was an aspiring musician and he’d arranged for her to have her own room in his hotel but that there is ‘not much more to it’.

Bolno, a partner at NKSFB, the largest business management firm in the country working alongside artists in music, film, and television, said he’d hoped to sign Sterling.

‘I really liked her. I was helping her make music… It was a terrible tragedy. I had vacated the room in the earlier part of the morning, so I wasn’t there when they found her.

‘It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.’ Bolno, who has worked with musicians Drake and Post Malone, said.

When asked why a 24-year-old beauty would have been in his room at such odd hours during the night Bolno said: ‘I let her stay there, there’s not much more to it’ and when asked where he was, he repeated: ‘She was found when I’d left.’

Bolno, who lives in Los Angeles in an $11.4 million estate with his wife Stacy and their children. said Sterling was in his hotel room because ‘she was recording music the night before’.

‘She’s a client and she was going to sign a record deal with me. I helped her make music,’ he said.

‘I really don’t want to go too deeply into it.

‘Honestly it was a terrible tragedy.’

Bolno works in NKSFB’s Westwood office, focusing on business management.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter in 2018, the 46-year-old said that he’d had the opportunity to work with some of the largest tours that year, adding that he finds his job ‘fulfilling’ when his clients have ‘breakout success.’

To unwind, the Hollywood business manager said he likes ‘to spend as much time as I can with my family.’

The Setai hotel said Sterling had ordered room service after Bolno had left the hotel in the early hours.

Her body was only discovered when hotel staff knocked on the door around 1pm to make up the room and to tell the occupants it was time to leave.

When there was no answer, the front desk contacted Bolno who told them he had already left, but that they needed to remove the woman from the suite.

Hotel security then visited the room and found Sterling unresponsive inside. The fire service and EMS were called at 1.22pm.

Police said when they initially entered the room they noticed an ‘unknown substance in various areas inside the property.’

Miami Beach Police and The Setai Hotel have refused to hand over surveillance videos from the night of Camila’s death.

Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said: ‘ If there is any video footage, it would not be available until the case has been closed. The only information I have is what is in the police report.’

The police report initially stated Sterling was 34, however close friends revealed she was in fact 24, and at the beginning of a promising career in music:

A family member exclusively told DailyMail.com Sterling’s funeral was held on Monday April 3. She was cremated after a service attended by close friends together with her father Henry Lozano, in Opa-locka – a city north of Miami.

Tributes from Camila’s friends have flooded in, with some questioning the circumstances of her death: ‘There’s a lot of unanswered questions’, a friend who asked not to be identified said, adding: ‘I don’t want to ask too many questions because the situation is very sketchy.’

Friends have told DailyMail.com they were shocked by her untimely death: ‘I can only say I was speechless when I realized that such a beautiful, brilliant, talented, authentic and intelligent person has arrived at her departures at such a young age.

‘I had the opportunity to meet her several years ago when she hired me to decorate her birthday-she was an excellent person,’ said one.
