Good Morning Britain viewers have been left completely baffled by pop diva Mariah Carey’s appearance on Monday’s instalment following the breaking news of a shooting in Las Vegas.
The 47-year-old hitmaker was due to chat to hosts Piers Morgan and Suzanna Reid about her upcoming Christmas shows in London and Paris before news broke about the shocking incident at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival – which so far has claimed the lives of two people and left 24 injured.
Appearing through a live feed from her Beverly Hills home, Mariah was seen strewn across a chaise longue in a red gown as the British TV presenters asked her about the attack near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Hotel.

The Grammy award-winning singer – who appeared to be uninformed to the breaking events – is no stranger to the world-renowned strip, having held her own residency at Caesars Palace’s the Colosseum in recent years.
Despite not knowing enough about the attack, Mariah shared her condolences to all who were affected before asking both presenters if they had caught who carried out the horrific attack.
She began: ‘I mean it is what everyone’s gut reaction is… I pray for the victims, have they caught the shooter?
‘Wow, that’s awful. Again I pray for the victims and hope all these can stop as soon as possible.You know I have spent a lot of time in Vegas and this type of thing anywhere happening anywhere is a huge tragedy.
‘I continue to pray for the victims. I hope we have an end to this as soon as possible.

Adding: ‘It’s terrible because people just going out to listen to music, really they’re out for the night and something like this happens, it’s shocking.’
Although sincere in her condolences, viewers of the popular ITV morning stalwart took to Twitter to share how surreal the moment was as she lay glamorously across her chair.

As they headed to a break, Piers openly discussed that they would talk to Mariah in the interim about continuing their interview in light of the events and made the decision to postpone their chat to a more appropriate time.

Here appearance on the show comes after it was reported that at least two people have been killed and 24 injured after at least one gunman unloaded hundreds of rounds of ammo on a Las Vegas country music festival on Sunday night.
There were 30,000 people in attendance at the event and now the Strip has been completely shut down after the sniper opened fire on the festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort and casino, located across a junction from the event.
Police confirmed that one suspect had been killed, and said at 12:38am that they believed there were no more shooters. It’s not clear how many shooters there had been.

Those listening to police scanners reported that the shooter was killed after cops breached a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay.
SWAT teams were seen heading towards the resort in armored vehicles earlier.
But unconfirmed reports of gunfire at other locations has some concerned about the possibility of multiple shooters, and police have been spotted en route to the Bellagio hotel, according to CNN.
University Medical Center spokeswoman Danita Cohen said that 26 people were submitted to hospital, of whom 12 were in critical condition. The rest were being evaluated, she said.
All of the ambulances in the area had been deployed to the location, and victims taken to two hospitals.

Professional poker player Dan Bilzerian, who was at the event, streamed footage of himself running. Noises that could be helicopters or gunfire could be heard in the background.
‘Holy f**k this girl just got shot in the f**king head,’ he said, ‘This is so f**king crazy.’
The LVMPD tweeted: ‘Please avoid heading to the south end of the Strip. Las Vegas Blvd is shut down at Tropicana, southbound past Russell Rd at this time.’
Flights out of the city’s McCarran International Airport have been suspended indefinitely.
Dozens were seen on aerial footage fleeing the Mandalay Bay, which was locked down, as police surrounded the location.
