Piers Morgan issues GMB plea to find talented busker

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has launched a national appeal to track down a talented busker.

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge was walking down Kensington High Street, west London, last night, when he was stopped in his tracks by an impressive saxophone player.

Mr Morgan took out his phone and filmed the man playing as people walked by near the Tube station.

Today, he shared the footage on his ITV breakfast show and said he wanted to find the busker and invite him on GMB to give the guy ‘his break’.

He said: ‘I want to give that guy his break, if he wants to do it – if you want to do it, whoever you are, I think you’re very talented.

‘And I think you should come on Good Morning Britain to do your thing.’

His co-host Susanna Reid joked: ‘How much money did you give him?’

Mr Morgan replied: ‘Nothing yet. I’ll give it to him when he comes in.

‘Anyway, there are you. Little thing to cheer you up.’

Ms Reid later went on to introduce the next segment of the show, but Mr Morgan interrupted her again.

He said: ‘I’ve got the editor in my ear saying, ‘why didn’t you get his number, what kind of journalist are you?’

‘Well, I’m a journalist who was a national newspaper editor for 12 years, don’t remember you reaching those dizzying heights, Mr Editor.’
