A playful pilot’s Photoshop skills were so realistic that they convinced people he had actually taken selfies while hanging out of the cockpit mid flight.
The pilot, going under the Instagram name of Pilotganso, shared a hilarious picture of himself cruising high above the instantly recognisable Palm Islands in Dubai.
Addressing his 43,000 followers, he caption the snap: ‘It’s already my second hometown #dubai selfie.’
Another rightfully unbelievable picture depicts him soaring high above New York while poking his head out of the window and giving the camera a thumbs up.

One person wrote: ‘Why do you act so dangerous? You might risk falling off and endangering all the passengers!’
Another said: ‘Wow… did that not scare you?’
And perhaps the biggest giveaway was a reflection of the airport runway’s tarmac in the mischievous pilot’s sunglasses
User @latelyisunday hilariously wrote: ‘This can’t be real? Don’t your company have policies about this kind of stuff? It just looks dangerous.’
But while the pictures racked up almost 15,000 likes, not everyone was convinced — especially those with a knowledge of aviation.
One user called ioto1902said: ‘Ship ascending northbound from nowhere. Direction of shade not matching those of houses. Winglet color (inward) not matching Fly Dubai scheme.’
In a more recent post he added the disclaimed: ‘I have to let you know that photo is fake guys, just in case’
