‘I’m trying to bring the energy,’ he said after being complimented on his singing voice, adding jokingly, ‘Free Britney. I thought I was Britney [Spears] coming in.’

Lote, who has represented Australia in both rugby league and rugby union, and Fiji in rugby league, said he was excited for his young son to see him on TV.

‘Little Max, he’d be like, ‘What the hell is going on?’ So, Max, my little five-year-old, here we are, dude,’ he said.
