She is the brains and beauty behind global activewear brand, P.E Nation.

But before starting the fashion line and becoming one of Sydney’s most well-known socialites, Pip Edwards had a very normal job.

The mother-of-one, 43, recently appeared on Phoebe Burgess’ Under The Gloss podcast, and she revealed Pip used to be an account at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Introducing her guest, Phoebe said: ‘Before Pip was the co-founder of P.E Nation, she was an accountant at PWC, she has a law degree and she is trained in classical music.

‘She is a pianist and she’s very good at playing the piano, but her canon event was when she left the world of suits and offices to crash land into the world of fashion.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Pip broke down in tears while having a hot flash, as she opened up about having perimenopause.

‘The thing that underpins women is this reproductive situation and I’m currently having a hot flush right now,’ she told Phoebe as she removed her sweatshirt.

‘This might happen a few times. I run hot and right now the burn is big. It’s coming on. My back is like I have literally done a massive marathon,’ she said.

Pip went on to explain that her flashes can overcome her within the space of thirty seconds, and they could be so ‘debilitating’ they often leave her wanting to cry.

‘It’s so crazy because my whole life I’ve had the mindset to overcome anything. I’ve never worried about my body,’ she said.

‘I never thought my body would wear me down or hold me back.’
