A nightclub in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has shut after a lewd video of one of its guests behavior went viral.
The video shows a woman having a bottle inserted into her vagina as a crowd of shocked onlookers watches at the Foxtail/Skybar club known for raucous pool parties.
It’s currently unclear when the incident took place, but the club posted on social media on Tuesday it would ‘pause operations at the venue.’
‘The safety and health of our guests and staff is our number one priority,’ the club said on its website and Instagram account.
‘After careful consideration, the owners of Foxtail/Skybar have decided to pause operations at the venue until further notice. The climate for operating a night time economy business in the South Side has regressed to the point of being unstable and has led to a customer base that is problematic.’
While the statement did not mention the viral video, the club said they ‘look forward to rejoining the community once a solution to the issues plaguing our neighborhood has been successfully implemented.’

The Foxtail/Skybar club released a statement Tuesday announcing it would be shutting down ‘until further notice.’ They made no mention of the vile video that was filmed in their club
While the club avoided acknowledging the video, a local judge addressed it directly in comments made to the media.
‘That is an embarrassment. That video went viral across the United States,’ District Justice Eugene Ricciardi said to WPXI. ‘We have people in Florida that saw that video. What does that say about us?’
He also said he had been in direct communication with the club’s owner, and said the owner agreed to shutter ‘until we can get everything under control.’
Ricciardi also said the club owner agreed ‘to drain the swimming pool on the third floor.’
Ricciardi’s proposed solutions include a ‘crime state of emergency’ and possibly starting ‘stop and frisk here in the city of Pittsburgh.’
Stop and frisk is the practice of police temporarily detaining, questioning and searching civilians in order to find illegal contraband and weapons.
The incident comes as the South Side of Pittsburgh endures startling crime, forcing Mayor Ed Gainey to address residents and business owners in the area.
‘This visit was important as we continue to build out Pittsburgh’s plan for peace to ensure that everyone is safe in our city,’ Gainey said at the meeting, according to WESA.
‘This is 20 years in the making,’ said Gainey. ‘This is not going to be something that is solved tomorrow.’
Business leaders in the area warned of a mass exodus, and one, Christie Neff, owner of Twelve Whiskey Barbecue, pleaded with Gainey to ‘please save us.’
She proceeded to say that if Mayor Gaines continues to ‘stand back,’ then ‘you’re going to eventually deteriorate all of the businesses that actually give their all in South Side.’
Pittsburgh law enforcement has indicated they intend to give the area better policing, as Assistant Chief Linda Barone said ‘we’ve seen it work in other areas, where saturating an area with all of our resources really tamed the activity.’
Gainey also said ‘the only way we can create a Pittsburgh pathway to prosperity is if we’re working together.’
