A plastic surgeon has revealed the five cosmetic procedures she would never get done to stop you from going under the knife.

Dr. Kelly Killeen, is a double board-certified Los Angeles plastic and reconstructive surgeon who frequently shares her tips and tricks to her TikTok.

Most recently, the doctor detailed the procedures she would never go under the knife for.

In a viral video, which racked up over 1.7 million views, Dr. Kelly revealed that she would never get a BBL or a nose job, while warning her over 64,000 followers why they should avoid ‘trendy’ procedures.

Dr. Kelly Killeen, a plastic surgeon from Los Angeles, has revealed the five cosmetic procedures she would never have

The bigger the butt the bigger the risk! The surgeon says she would NEVER get a BBL because it is dangerous

‘Here are my top five procedures that I would never have done as a plastic surgeon,’ she said before detailing what came in at first place.

The first cosmetic procedure the doctor said she would never get is a Brazilian Butt Lift

‘This is the procedure with the highest death and complication rate of any cosmetic procedure,’ she explained.

Dr. Kelly also revealed that the surgeons who frequently perform BBLs should not be praised in the way they are.

‘I don’t like the weird hero worship culture of the surgeon that perform a lot of these surgeries. I think it has a weird ick factor for me, I would never ever do it,’ the doctor added.

Through fat transfer, a BBL adds volume and accentuates your butt to give you curvier figure.

According to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, around  396,105 people had a Brazilian Butt Lift.

BBLs have become notorious for having a high fatality rate of one in 3000.

Dr. Pat Pazmiño, a board certified plastic surgeon in Miami told NBC that more people died in 2021 from ‘the Brazilian butt lifts than any other year before.’

‘I don’t like it’: Dr. Kelly says you should avoid upper lip lifts

Coming in at second place, the doctor revealed she would never do an upper lip lift.

‘This is probably going to piss off some of my facial plastics colleagues,’ she said before detailing why she wasn’t a fan of the lip lift.

‘I think, in general, we all get it, we want a bigger upper lip, but the scar is not worth it for me.

‘I can see it in every single patient, even the ones that claim their scars aren’t seen, I can see it.

‘I don’t like it. Everybody knows what you had done, not for me,’ she explained.

Dr. Kelly also said that she doesn’t like texture that an upper lip lift can cause.

‘I also don’t like how it can rotate the wet part of the red lip out and cause kind of permanent weird texture of the upper lip,’ Dr. Kelly added.

During a lip lift, doctors remove the skin between the nose and the border of the top lip.

This shortens the distance between the nose and the top of the lip, which makes your lips appear more volumized.

Lip lifts have become increasingly popular in recent years, with many woman flocking to their doctors to get bigger lips.

Although popular, the procedure does run the risk of infections and scarring.

Don’t fall for the ‘trend’: The surgeon says fox eye brow lifts will go out of style so you should use makeup to achieve the look instead

‘Number three is the fox eye brow lift,’ Dr. Kelly revealed.

The surgeon explained that you should avoid this procedure because it looks ‘weird’ and is just following a ‘trend.’

‘It looks weird. I would never have a surgical procedure done on my face for a trend that’s probably going to be out in a few years,’ she said.

Instead, the doctor recommended those wanting the procedure learn how to master the same look by using makeup.

‘You can make your eyebrow do that thing on its own by shaving the end, work on your eye makeup techniques, [that’s] not permanent.

‘I would never do that procedure,’ she explained.

In the past year, a growing number of women have attempted to achieve a lifted eyebrow look through their surgeons or by shaving off the ends of their eyebrows.

The look is also known as ‘designer eyes’ and is all the rage.

It involves removing excess skin or fat around the eyes to change the shape.

The fox eye brow lift is very in right now, so it’s important to keep in mind what will look good on you for years to come.

Opt for implants instead! Dr. Kelly says you getting massive fat grafting to the breast will cause them to look ‘droopy’

The fourth procedure Dr. Kelly would never have done is massive fat grafting to the breast.

‘Number four is massive fat grafting to the breast, I know I do a lot of fat grafting to the breast, but if you need that much fat in your breast to do what you want to do,  you are at a higher risk for complications like cysts, fat necrosis, contour deformities where you have been lipoed all over and fat just doesn’t have the structure of an implant or breast tissue.

‘So you end up with kind of a dumpier-looking breast and I just would never do that,’ the board certified surgeon explained.

Fat grafting, which is also know as fat transfer, has emerged as a major new breast reconstruction technique.

This procedure uses liposuction to transfer fat from other areas of your body and enlarge your breasts.

According to Cleveland Clinic, the risks of a fat transfer breast augmentation include:  bleeding and bruising, fat cell death (necrosis) or fat cells moving out of your breasts to different parts of your body, infection, noncancerous (benign) breast cysts or breast calcifications.

Although Dr. Kelly admitted she performs these procedures, she explained that after only a certain amount of fat should be used.

She noted that if you want to transfer too much fat, it becomes an issue, and you should opt for implants instead.

The surgeon says she would NEVER get a nose job because of the year-long recovery process which includes ‘swelling and unpredictable scarring’

Lastly, the surgeon reveled she would never get a rhinoplasty or a nose job.

‘I love rhinoplasties, they are such amazing surgeries for the right person, but for me personally, the things I don’t like about my nose are not huge, they are easily addressed with a liquid rhinoplasty.

‘I don’t think I personally could tolerate a year of swelling and the unpredictable scarring that comes with a rhinoplasty,’ she explained.

Rhinoplasties, or nose jobs, are one of the most common procedures that change the way a nose looks by transforming the shape of the nose.

According to Cleveland Clinic, there are over 350,000 rhinoplasty procedures performed each year.

The risks of a nose job include: a hole in your nasal septum (nasal septal perforation). Infections, nosebleeds, scarring, skin discoloration, pain, and change to your sense of smell.

For small fixes, Dr. Kelly recommended liquid rhinoplasty.

A liquid rhinoplasty, or non-surgical nose job, is the injection of dermal fillers into the nose to change its shape.

It is known as a painless and quick alternative to going under the knife.

Although it isn’t a surgical procedure, Dr. Kelly also revealed she would never get a thread lift.

‘I would never have a thread lift done anywhere. They look ok when you’re static, but when you’re in motion you can see the pull of the threads.

‘There’s all kinds of weird complications from infections to extrusions where they come through your skin.

‘I just would never have a thread lift done, I think it’s kind of an awful procedure honestly,’ she revealed.
