England remain on course for World Cup qualification despite stumbling to a disappointing draw at Wembley on Tuesday night.
Gareth Southgate’s undefeated side are on track to win Group I with only next month’s matches against Albania and San Marino remaining on the road to Qatar.
But an exciting-looking England side struggled against Hungary, with John Stones cancelling out Roland Sallai’s penalty in a tepid 1-1 draw under the Wembley arch.

JORDAN PICKFORD 6
Had no chance with the penalty as he was sent the wrong way and was not overly worked despite the problems Hungary posed England throughout the game.
KYLE WALKER 6
Had some shaky moments, including two in the second half which presented Hungary with opportunities to score. Was a little fortunate they led to nothing.
JOHN STONES 7
Helped settle England down with equaliser and almost scored a second. England were not at their best and needed Stones to bail them out at the other end too.
TYRONE MINGS 6.5
Distracted Hungary defence with his presence ahead of Stones’ equaliser. Did the basics well to support Stones as he filled in for the injured Harry Maguire.

LUKE SHAW 6
Might consider himself unlucky to have conceded the penalty but his foot was high so cannot have too many complaints about the referee’s decision.
DECLAN RICE 6
Had a bit more to do in central midfield as a lone holder. Made his trademark interceptions in front of back four but was also exposed at times.
MASON MOUNT 6
Worked hard but in more advanced role and tidy in possession but was largely on the fringes of the game as an attacking force.
Phil Foden set up the equaliser when his free kick was turned in by John Stones at the far post
PHIL FODEN 7
Did not have as much space to pull the strings as he enjoyed against Andorra but had his moments and dangerous from set-pieces. One led to equaliser.
RAHEEM STERLING 6.5
Had some bright and dangerous moments in both halves but had a couple of chances in either period which he was not quite able to take.
HARRY KANE 6.5
Had a couple of good chances an in-form Kane would take, including one late on he finished wildly. Did not get too much joy against Hungary this time.
JACK GREALISH 7.5
Main outlet for England and one of most dangerous players. As usual a target for some rough treatment but undeterred. Jeers that greeted his substitution told their own story.
