PlayStation Network outage map: See where service has been affected after thousands report issues

Millions of gamers have been left cut off this morning after the PlayStation Network (PSN) suffered a major global outage.

The network has been reported down for most of Tuesday with complaints rolling in since before 2am.

A warning message is currently showing up on the PSN website saying that account management, PlayStation store, gaming and social pages and PlayStation Video are ‘experiencing issues’ with a comment saying: ‘We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.’

The problems have left users unable to sign in on PS5, PS4, PS Vita and PS3, meaning many PlayStation users are unable to play online against other players across the world.

According to a map of outage reports on Downdetector.co.uk, users across the UK have been affected – scuppering plans for a slow morning or relaxed day off for many.

No timeline has been provided on when the network will be back up with the silence further irritating gamers.

Under PlayStation UK’s latest post on X, which came last night, followers have vented at the perceived lack of acknowledgement.

One wrote: ‘Ayo fix the network!’

‘The one time I load up the [PlayStation] and the servers are down,’ moaned another.

Someone else fumed: ‘GET SERVERS BACK UP NOW.’

Many users of the Sony-owned platform pay a monthly subscription for PlayStation Plus, which allows them to play online and also gives users access to free games.

One frustrated subscriber commented: ‘Bro I pay my ps plus every month and can’t play after work. Shame on you Sony.’

The PlayStation Network has 110million registered users and more than 103million active users monthly.

PlayStation has been contacted for comment.
