There was further misery for Plymouth on the opening weekend of the Championship season, with the kitman spelling the names of two players incorrectly.

Plymouth were thrashed 4-0 on their return to the Championship as Wayne Rooney took charge of the side for the first time in a competitive game.

Jamal Lowe gave Sheffield Wednesday the lead, with an own goal from Brendan Galloway making it 2-0.

Josh Windass then inflicted further misery on Plymouth, with Michael Smith adding a fourth goal late on.

The Plymouth kitman also didn’t have a good day at the office, with the names of two players being spelt incorrectly.

Adam Forshaw’s name on the back of his shirt was incorrectly spelled ‘Foreshaw’.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Cissoko had ‘Issoko’ on the back of his jersey.

Forshaw signed for Plymouth from Norwich in January, while Cissoko arrived on loan from Toulouse last month. 

Plymouth will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Cheltenham on Wednesday in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Following that, Plymouth will be back in league action on Saturday with a home game against Hull.
