Poland – Factors to Watch Nov 13

DATA

Polish statistics office will release CPI data, while the central bank will publish Current Account data at 1300.

PGNIG

Poland’s dominant gas firm PGNiG said on Monday third-quarter net profit rose 3 percent to 367 million zlotys ($101.14 million) helped by higher oil prices and gas sales.

PKO

Poland’s largest lender, PKO BP PKO.WA, reported on Monday a 17-percent rise in its third-quarter net profit to 902 million zlotys, as accelerating economy boosted demand for banking services and products.

ENERGY

Poland’s energy ministry is expected to present conclusions from its works on launching High Temperature Reactors (HTR) in the coming weeks, Rzeczpospolita daily said quoting unnamed sources. The paper also said that Poland is willing to introduce the technology, irrespectively of the plans to build first nuclear power plant.
