Police officers chased a man down after his wallet fell from the roof of his car and allegedly discovered $100,000 in cash and drugs in the vehicle.
The Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor in New South Wales noticed a wallet and cash fall from the roof of a Holden Calais on Monday at 6.40pm.
They stopped to collect the cash and wallet before tracking the driver south on the Pacific Highway, Karuah.

The police were returning the man’s wallet after it fell from the roof of his car and the 26-year-old driver appeared to be driving under the influence
The Calais stopped briefly and police eventually caught up to the driver and pulled him over.
The 26-year-old driver appeared to be under the influence and was subjected to a sobriety test while the police searched his car and allegedly found more than $100,000 in cash, methylamphetamine (ice), cannabis, and a knife.
The man was arrested and taken to hospital for blood and urine testing.
He was then taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station, where he was charged with various offences including two counts of possessing prohibited drug, custody of knife in public place, deal with proceeds of crime, and various traffic offences.
The Lismore man was granted strict bail conditions and is due to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday April 16, 2018.
Police inquiries are continuing.
