Multiple deaths have resulted from a horrific bus crash on Thursday in New Mexico, police said.
A passenger bus and a semi-truck collided in McKinley County, killing multiple people and wounding others, the New Mexico State Police department said.
‘Officers have confirmed multiple casualties in this crash,’ NMSPD said.
‘Officers and EMS are still working this scene actively’

The bus was heading from Albuquerque to Phoenix and there were 47 passengers on board, Greyhound told WTOP.
The bus incurred significant front-end damage.

The crash shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Thoreau near mile marker 50, police said.
‘Traffic is being diverted onto the frontage road in Thoreau,’ NMSPD tweeted, telling drivers to expect delays.
The crash was reported at around 1.00pm MDT, KOB4 reported.
Nearby hospitals in Gallup were informed they may receive eight patients, according to KOB4.
