EXCLUSIVE: Police determine Lady Gaga dress was NOT stolen from Valentino and close criminal investigation into maid who is now selling the couture gown at auction

  • A spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police tells DailyMail.com that the criminal investigation into a report that Lady Gaga’s Golden Globe dress was stolen

Police have closed their investigation into just who owns a Valentino couture gown that was designed by the house’s creative director Pier Paolo Piccioli for Lady Gaga to wear at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. 

‘On October 25, 2019, Beverly Hills Police responded to a radio call for service at 360 N. Rodeo Drive rin reference of a possible theft investigation,’ said a spokesperson for the department in  statement to DailyMail.com.

‘During the investigation, it was determined that a designer dress which had been missing had recently been placed up for private auction. It was determined that no crime had taken place.’

The statement continued: ‘The police do not have an active criminal investigation. The matter is being resolved between the concerned parties.’

Those parties include the maid at The Beverly Hilton who found the dress and  Nate D. Sanders Auctions, who is handling the sale of the one-of-a-kind frock.
