Homicide detectives from Victoria Police are investigating the discovery of a body in Geelong.

Police said they discovered the body at 11am on Seaforth Street at North Shore on Sunday.

Officers were initially called out after reports of a burglary and while conducting a neighbourhood search they discovered the body in a car on Sea Breeze Parade.

The body has not yet been identified and police investigations are continuing.   

‘Police are investigating following the discovery of a deceased person in North Shore this afternoon,’ Victoria Police said in a statement. 

‘Police were responding to reports of a burglary at an address on Seaforth Street just after 11am.

‘A search of the nearby area uncovered a deceased person in a parked vehicle on Sea Breeze Parade.’
