Werribee father Jeremy received a call from his daughter who was at home by herself when the party got out of control.

Jeremy arrived just after rocks were thrown for a window so grabbed a baseball bat to protect his daughter.

‘My daughter was there, I was just making sure she was alright,’ he said.

Inspector Martin Allison said property owners need to be vigilant about who they rent their properties to, and said to ask for multiple forms of ID to ensure they can track anyone who damaged their property.

No one was arrested at the scene, but police are investigating criminal damage to the home.

AirBnB has been contacted for comment.
