Sacramento Kings star DeMar DeRozan was involved in a violent bust-up at a sushi restaurant in California on Friday night, it has been revealed.

TMZ Sports have released dramatic footage which shows DeRozan, a six-time NBA All-Star, in a heated altercation with a man who allegedly sparked the melee by shoving a bright phone light in his face.

In the video, the unidentified male is heard shouting that he is ‘just a fan’ of the small forward while fighting him off on the ground after seemingly being dragged to the floor.

After returning to his feet he then appears to have his phone snatched from him by a female in a grey tracksuit, who is heard urging DeMar to back off and telling him the man in question is ‘not worth it’. The situation is believed to have persisted after the end of the video.

Police are now investigating the incident, which took place at around 10:30pm in the Californian city of Calabasas.
