Detectives investigating an offender dubbed the rush hour prowler have been given more time to question a man in connection with 26 sexual assaults across south-east London.
Kevin Bond, 51, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of sexual assault against young girls.
He spoke only to confirm his name via video link from Lewisham station and did not enter a plea.

He remained seated throughout and was wearing a grey jumper and kept his arms crossed for the majority of the hearing, occasionally uncrossing them to sip a glass of water.
Bond from Chislehurst, Kent is charged with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl on October 19, 2017, in Winns Common, Plumstead.
He is also charged with the sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl on June 30, 2017 at Ravens Way in Lee, south east London.
Prosecutor Maxine Channer-McDaniel made a request under the Magistrates Court Act that Bond remain in custody while police continue their investigations.
Magistrates granted the application and he will appear in court in person on Saturday, February 3.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are investigating a series of 26 sexual assaults on schoolgirls and women across the boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich, Southwark, Bexley and Bromley carried out during the morning and evening rush hours.

The attacks date back to October, 2016.
Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Furphy of Lewisham police, leading the investigation, said: ‘We are aware that there might be further victims who have not yet spoken to police.
‘If you are a victim, or know someone who has been a victim of a sexual assault, I can assure you your information will be treated with strict confidence and sensitivity and we can also access specialist support where needed.’
