North Carolina police are looking for a car after a female passenger yelled out to a drive-thru clerk that she had been abducted while the driver, another woman, ordered food.

The bizarre incident happened at a Wendy’s in Charlotte in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to police, the passenger who said she had been abducted looked to be in her 40s or 60s whereas the driver was a younger woman.

This is the dark green Honda sedan the woman was in. She was in the passenger seat when she yelled out that she had been kidnapped. A younger woman was behind the wheel

They had pulled up to order food when the passenger blurted it out.

It remains unclear what happened next, whether the car sped away or if they got their food, but the Wendy’s clerk called police.

Now, cops are searching for the car and the driver to check on the older woman’s welfare.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department described the car as a green Honda sedan.

Officers say the woman who was driving is black with light hair and has a nose ring and a flower tattoo on her shoulder.

Her hair had been braided into a bun and she was wearing a red ted tube.

The woman who claimed to have been kidnapped has a darker complexion, they said.

Anyone who has any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 704-334-1600.
