Seven-year-old autistic girl who vanished from her Birmingham home sparking huge hunt is found safe and well

The seven-year-old autistic girl who wandered off from her house this afternoon has been found safe and well.

Angela Zheng left her home in Kingstanding, Birmingham, at around 5.45pm today.

West Midlands Police said the youngster was wearing a Mickey Mouse top with sequins and black leggings when she went missing.

However at 8.42pm they announced that Angela had been found and thanked members of the public for helping with their appeal.

Officers had urged the public to keep a look out for Angela and said they should call 999 immediately if they spot the young girl. 

They added that it was unlikely Angela, who is autistic, would communicate or ask for help.

A statement shared on the force’s social media said: ‘This is an urgent appeal for sightings of a young Chinese girl who’s wandered off from her home in Kingstanding, Birmingham.

‘Angela Zheng left her home in Kingstanding Road at around 5.45pm today and hasn’t been seen since. Please call 999 if you see her!’

In a follow up tweet WMP said: ‘The seven-year-old is autistic and unlikely to communicate with members of the public or ask for help. 

‘She was wearing a pick Mickey Mouse top with sequins and black leggings when she went missing. 

‘Anyone who believes they’ve seen her is urged to call 999 immediately.’
