Police officer fires at fleeing suspect in Arizona

  • Officers were called to a street in Phoenix concerning a suspicious vehicle
  • They found Antonio Garcia Goff in the car with what appeared to be a stun gun
  • They ordered Goff out of the car but he instead drove away

Shocking footage has emerged of a police officer repeatedly firing his gun at a suspect as he tried to flee in his car.

The incident took place after cops responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle on a residential street in Phoenix, Arizona.

When they arrived they found a topless Antonio Garcia Goff, 22, sat in the driver’s seat with what appeared to be a stun gun and a knife next to him.

Footage captured on Officer George Davis’s bodycam shows him ordering the motorist to get out of his car.

But Goff just says, ‘I’m sorry’, before rolling up his window and driving away.

During his escape the suspect nearly runs over Officer Davis, 45, who begins shouting: ‘Don’t, don’t, don’t!’

The cop begins firing his weapon before getting into his own vehicle and pursuing Goff. A total of six shots were fired.

The suspect was later tracked to a nearby backyard where he was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault on an officer and trespassing.
