A police officer has stopped alongside a motorcycle rider to commend him on his safe driving and ‘very nice bike.’

The funny footage, which was recorded by rider David Macdonald’s camera last week,shows him riding down a highway on a sunny day through El Segundo in California.

As Macdonald stops his Ducati Monster 796 behind traffic, we see the police officer pull up alongside him and whistle to get his attention.

‘You’re a safe driver,’ he says.

He points out that he saw ‘a couple of things’ he and commended him saying ‘good job’.

The rider thanks the officer and continues down the highway when we hear the officer bellow from his car radio: ‘By the way, very nice bike.’

The video was posted on social media and was viewed over 200 times.
