Greater Manchester Police have launched a probe into the deaths of three people after their bodies were discovered earlier today.

Officers were called to a property in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, around 3.30pm today in response to a report of concern for welfare, Manchester Evening News reports.

Following the arrival of the police officers, all three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained and police enquiries are ongoing. 

Police, fire and ambulance vehicles were spotted outside the property earlier this evening.

Crime Scene Investigators were also seen, with the front garden of the property taped off.

A police spokesperson said: ‘At 3.30pm on Monday 28 December 2020, police were called by paramedics responding to a report of concern for welfare on Oldham Road, Failsworth.

‘Officers attended.

‘Three people were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

‘Their deaths are being treated as unexplained. Enquires are ongoing.’

Anyone with information about the deaths are asked to contact police quoting 1595 28/12/20 or the independent charity – Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Earlier in the day the traffic website Inrix reported a ‘police incident’ that was confirmed not to be a crash but that it was ongoing.
