A white van driver was caught with 5,000 cans of lager in the boot – almost 1.5 tonnes over the legal weight limit.
Traffic officers were stunned when they pulled over the driver and found the cans of super-strength large wrapped up in the back of his van.
The van was stopped at Brampton Hut services on the A14 roundabout in Cambridgeshire.
The driver was transporting the stash of 14.2 per cent Polish lager from Birmingham to Ipswich on Saturday.

Cambridgeshire police said the man will be summoned to appear in court on suspicion of driving a vehicle which was more than 40 per cent over the legal weight limit.
The vehicle was 1.49 tons (1,510kg) over the gross weight limit, they added.
