Police release new CCTV footage of missing London firefighter Anthony Knott, 33, walking along the road after he switched his phone off on pub crawl eight days ago

- He left The Lamb public house at 7.16pm and was seen on CCTV nearby at 7.41pm
- Mr Knott’s mobile phone or bank cards have not been used since he vanished
- Police are increasingly concerned about his safety since his disappearance
Police have released CCTV footage of a London firefighter who was last seen leaving a pub in Lewes following a night out with colleagues shortly before Christmas.
Anthony Knott, 33, who was last seen on CCTV leaving The Lamb pub in Fisher Street, disappeared from Lewes, East Sussex at 7.16pm on Friday December 20.
Footage has now emerged showing Sussex Police, the London Fire Brigade and local Coastguard teams searching a river in boats in an effort to find the missing firefighter.
The specialist search teams, who were seen wearing waterproof clothing and helmets, scoured the still waters as police continue to search leads for Mr Knott’s disappearance.

At 7.41pm – 20 minutes after his mobile phone had been switched off – his family identified a CCTV image of Mr Knott walking along Market Street, in the direction of The Lamb.
Specialist officers have been searching the area around the pub, including Pells Pool, which had been affected by severe flooding.
Chief Inspector Sarah Godley said: ‘We have reviewed CCTV footage from a number of premises such as homes and businesses, and we are continuing to retrieve and review further footage as we attempt to find out what happened to Anthony. We hope this latest image of him may jog someone’s memory or help provide some new information about his disappearance.
‘Our searches have included local officers, drones and the dog unit, and we have also been assisted by London Fire Brigade, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, the National Police Air Service helicopter, Sussex Search and Rescue and the Coastguard agency in our quest to locate Anthony.
‘The area we have searched includes Pells Pool and Pellbrook Cut, as well as bins, street furniture, alleyways and dark areas.
‘In addition to the local area, we have also extended our search of the River Ouse north towards Hamsey, and we will continue to search for Anthony until we get the answers his family are so desperately seeking. Seven days on, our priority remains to find him.

‘A further search of the Pells Pool area and the river will be carried out over the weekend as the natural water level falls. The flood water has made our operation challenging, but we remain committed to finding Anthony.’
Police said Mr Knott is white, around 6ft tall and is of medium build. He has medium -brown short gelled hair. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved top, a dark denim suit-style jacket, dark denim jeans and black shoes. He is also said to have a distinctive walk, with a slight bounce.
His heartbroken fiancee Lucy Otto confirmed his bank cards have not been used since he vanished.
She urged anyone with information about Mr Knott’s disappearance to come forward.
