Police swarm Kyle Sandilands’ Sydney home after radio star’s ‘billionaire row’ street was targeted: ‘It was pandemonium’

Kyle Sandilands’ $13million Vaucluse mansion was surrounded by police on Sunday night after thieves targeted his street located in Sydney’s affluent Eastern suburbs.

Speaking about the ordeal on Tuesday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kyle revealed that more than 30 officers with sniffer dogs descended on his street following reports that a trio of thieves had broken into a number of properties in the area.

‘So I get woken up by my security guy at about 2.30am with intruder alerts on the perimeter of the home,’ the 53-year-old shock jock said.

‘Different sounds go off in my house depending on if people are getting onto the property or they’re in the house or anything.’

When he enquired what all the fuss was about, he was informed by security that it was in fact the police who had tripped Kyle’s alarm, not the alleged intruders.

‘I said: “What’s the go here? Someone’s on the property?” They were the police,’ he continued.

‘Apparently a lot of people in my street last night were getting robbed.’

Kyle added his street would make a perfect target for thieves and the reason his house didn’t catch the criminals’ eye was that there were many more attractive targets.

‘I’m the brokest b**ch in my street,’ he said.

‘We’ve got billionaires, we’ve got the guy who owns Door Dash or one of those things. The Murdochs lived there at one stage.’

He went on to explain that police asked Kyle to enter his property with dogs so they could continue their search for the alleged burglars.

‘The guys are on the run.’ he said. ‘There’s  about 30 cops in my street it’s pandemonium.’

He also found time to praise the athleticism of NSW Police.

‘They [dogs] sniffed around and this big giant cop was leaping over eight foot fences like it was nothing. He was an impressive guy.’

Kyle added that he was unsure of how the drama ended as he was keen to go back to sleep.

‘I don’t know if they got the guys or not. I said I’m going to go back upstairs.’

The Daily Telegraph reported that two intruders remain at large and police investigations are ongoing.
