A pony dressed in a pink cowboy hat spotted at a popular Melbourne nightclub has created a frenzy online.

Tori the pony, who had ‘pony is back b***h’ written in pink on it’s back, was a spectacle at La Di Da nightclub on Saturday.

Photos uploaded online show the party-goers posing with the pony inside the nightclub, leading to RSPCA to investigate.

The pony was reportedly meant to stand outside the venue to attract customers, however the wet weather forced Tori inside the club, according to the Herald Sun.

Owner of Ponies for Parties, where Tori was from, Gail Traynor said the pony wasn’t ‘at risk’ at anytime although it was confirmed the pony did trip while using stairs in the nightclub.

A La Di Da spokesperson told the publication the pony was moved into a ‘non public access area with no speakers for ten minutes as a storm hit outside’.

However, public outrage sparked the attention of RSPCA Victoria who said they were investigating whether any breaches were made.

Photos on Ponies for Parties Instagram page show a number of images of white ponies covered in bright coloured writing over their bodies.

One person wrote on social media the company should ‘be ashamed’ of the ‘disgusting act’ which is ‘beyond inhumane’.
