Two pit bulls savagely mauled Bobo as they managed to get away from their owner, seen right
It cost Enrique Carrillo more than $1,000 in medical bills to save his dog’s life but he has said that he would have paid whatever it took to save his life
The video shows Bobo and his owner, Enrique Carrillo, strolling along when all of walking when all of a sudden a woman who was walking nearby lost control of her two pit bulls who then charged directly at Bobo.
‘When I heard her saying Oh my God, Oh my God, I turned, that’s when she couldn’t hold the dogs no more,’ Carrillo said to Fox LA.
Carrillo was totally defenseless against the vicious dogs as he desperately tried to protect his pet, but the dogs came after him and then mauled his precious Bobo.
Upon hearing the commotion, a neighbor came outside with a stick and tried to ward the dogs off, as the owner of the pit bull was dragged along by her own dogs.
There was a moment when Bobo’s owner thought that he wouldn’t make it
The savage attack was all caught on CCTV from a nearby home owner’s security system
Carrillo can be seen attempted to wrestle the brutal dogs away from his beloved Bobo
‘Even for a second she just sat there and let them run after him, I was telling her get up what are you doing, help, get your dogs!’ she said.
At the end of the attack, Bobo was not doing well.
‘He was in a lot of pain, his eyes were rolling over, his tongue was sticking out, I thought I was gonna lose him,’ Carrillo said to Fox News. ‘First thing I thought about was saving his life, take him to the emergency room.’
The vets bills came to more than $1,000 but Carrillo said that he would pay whatever it took to save his best friend’s life.
The little dog is scared whenever he sees dogs outside and shakes with fear
Carillo is worried the violent dogs are still on the loose in an area near parks and a school
Bobo, seen during happier times, left, while he is now on the road to recovery, right
‘Hopefully he’ll be an active dog very soon the way he was before, he’s a very happy boy,’ Carrillo said. ‘I don’t think he ever deserved to be done like this.’
Bobo is on the road to recovery but still trembles with fear whenever he sees another dog out on the street.
Meanwhile, the owner of the pit bulls has not yet been found, nor have the dogs have not been spotted in the neighborhood.
A report has been filed with animal control who are now increasing their patrols of the area in the hope of spotting the animals.
