Pop star Emma Sheppard announces engagement to new fiancé Liam as the pair prepare to move to the USA

Emma Sheppard is head over heels in love with her new fiancé Liam Sheppard. 

The pair, who have been together for five years, announced their engagement last week. 

The Port Moresby born star, 29, shared photos of the sweet moment Liam got down on one knee at at Sea World’s Bar and Grill to Instagram.

‘Something like magic. A day we will never forget’ she captioned one post, adding to another, ‘Still in shock that Liam asked me to marry him’.

‘We were meant to be flying to Hawaii on the 26th and Liam had planned to propose on top of Diamond Head, where we had our first holiday and do the hike,’ she said.  

‘But then plans changed and we ended up staying here, before going to Nashville. 

‘And then SeaWorld was great place to have it and they made it so special for me as well.’

The performer told the paper that the pair, who started dating in 2016, were mad about each other from the start. 

‘We pretty much moved in after two weeks together,’ she admitted.

The indie pop star recently sold the four bedroom, three bathroom Sunshine Coast property she shares with Liam for $1.45million.

She purchased it in 2021 for $780,000 and spent the past two years significantly renovating it with the help of her partner.

The semi-rural property features gorgeous nature views and is close to a variety of amenities, including a shopping centre, schools and a medical clinic.

Emma plays bass in the indie pop band Sheppard, which is fronted by her siblings George and Amy. 

They are best known for their hit song Geronimo, which reached number one on the ARIA charts.

The property sale comes ahead of Emma relocating to Nashville, Tennessee with her siblings to further their musical career.
