Popular Australian venue slammed for ‘discriminatory’ door policy: ‘An embarrassment’

OnlyFans creator Mikaela Testa has slammed a popular Gold Coast venue for banning patrons who have ‘intimidating’ or ‘aggressive’ tattoos.

The Gold Coast-based TikTok star, 23, lashed out at the Burleigh Pavilion on Monday night via an Instagram Story post after discovering the restaurant’s strict policy.

‘It’s so crazy to me that still in 2023 people are discriminated against over tattoos…’, she wrote next to a photo of her heavily tattooed friend.

‘It’s so embarrassing bringing my cool, fun and freaky friends to Australia and being told to leave because of her tattoos, are you kidding?’ she continued.

According to the venue’s website, guests who have tattoos are allowed inside except for when their body ink could be perceived as ‘intimidating’.

‘Burleigh Pavilion is a family and community-oriented venue,’ the website reads.

‘Guests with tattoos are welcome at our venue, however, our policy does not permit intimidating, aggressive, or offensive tattoos, clothing or behaviour which may offend or intimidate other guest or staff.’

‘Tattoos on the neck, head and face are viewed as increased intimidation in that order.’

‘This practice is common among licensed venues and is in place to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.’

The site also clarifies that even covering up such tattoos would not guarantee entry.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Burleigh Pavilion for comment.

It comes just days after Mikaela revealed her bold plans to return to the United States, six months after she was deported back to Australia.

The social media star told her Instagram followers that she is reapplying for a visa to enter the country.

Mikaela shared a racy selfie taken from a car window and wrote: ‘Today is visa day guys.’

‘Wish me luck. My entire happiness relies on this,’ she added.

Mikaela was deported back to Sydney from the US in April after her visa was ‘revoked’ and she spent 30 hours in a border force room.

Her racy photos have also resulted in several bans on Instagram and TikTok.

However, it seems her success may have come at a price after she claimed earlier this year her parents no longer want anything do with her because of it.

During an Instagram Q&A at the time, she claimed she doesn’t have a relationship with her immediate family.

‘How did your family react to OnlyFans?’ one fan asked.

Mikaela responded: ‘They disowned me and haven’t spoken to me since.’
