Popular TikTok couple forced to flee their new home after thieves broke in and stole most of their possessions… after they shared identifiable photos of their house with 600k followers

An Adelaide-based popular TikTok couple have shared their frustration at returning home from a Sydney influencer convention to find their new house robbed.

Influencers Mitchell O’Leary, 22, and Isabelle Petzl-Duncan, 19, posted a clip to social media which captured them returning to their home – and discovering it had been cleaned out.

‘We have just been to Sydney. We got home and, what the heck, we didn’t leave the window open!’ Mitchell began.

‘Why is some of our stuff from inside down the driveway? Some lucky person decided to break in, they have grabbed everything that I own.’

Mitchell then issued a snide message to the heartless thief who stole his belongings: ‘Enjoy everything of mine you have stolen. I don’t have much to my name now.’

He also revealed the thief had gotten ahold of his car keys and ransacked their vehicle.

‘They stole all my glasses, coins, wallet, everything. The only thing they didn’t steal is my humour!’

He added the thief had also taken his property’s spare key, so he and Isabelle were forced to vacate the premises in case the criminal returned.

Sisters Amy, Kate and Sophie Taeuber discussed the incident on their Outspoken podcast, revealing the shock way the opportunistic thief may have realised the property would be vacant.

‘Just last week, Isabelle shared a series of TikToks, which she dubbed her Moving Diaries. She took followers along their journey of moving into their new rental,’ they began.

‘She not only showed shots of the house’s interior but also the exterior, including vision of their house number.’

The sisters added the couple made a huge mistake by revealing their home’s location on social media, in addition to disclosing it would be vacant for the next three days.

‘If you know the area, you would have been able to instantly identify where it was,’ one sister said.

‘Now, thieves took their chance when Isabelle shared she and Mitch were headed to Sydney.’

Mitch and Isabelle have 600,000 followers on social media, and have developed a reputation for sharing hilarious lip-syncing clips with their fans.
