Fans have gone wild over a recently resurfaced commercial starring a very young of Portia de Rossi.

Before rising to fame on shows such as Ally McBeal and Arrested Development, the veteran Australian actress went by her real name Mandy Rogers and appeared in a 1992 ad for popular seafood fast food chain, Barnacle Bill.

In the clip, Portia is seen dressed as a fast food employee and promotes the restaurant with several seafood puns.

‘At Barnacle Bill, we’ve gone overboard,’ Portia says as she stands behind a fast food counter and enthusiastically delivers her lines.

The commercial was filmed two years before she made her film debut in the 1994 Australian comedy-drama movie Sirens, opposite Hugh Grant and Elle Macpherson.

Fans quickly went wild in the comment section over the amusing footage.

‘Portia de Rossi stars in a 1992 Barnacle Bill ad! I love this so much. She’s already giving Hollywood energy in this ad,’ one person gushed.

‘This should have made it into Arrested Development as a flashback,’ a second quipped.

The Victorian-born actress went on to star in several popular Hollywood productions, including Stigmata, Ally McBeal and Santa Clarita Diet.

She retired from acting in 2019 and is currently the owner of General Public, a publishing and art curation business.

In December, Portia and her wife Ellen DeGeneres decided to move from California to the English countryside instead of the actress’ home country Australia.

The couple were reportedly prepared to pay millions more than the asking price for their property in the Cotswolds, which includes a helicopter pad and swimming pool.

According to New Idea, the comediandecided to relocate to the UK instead of Down Under to focus on her comedy career.

‘Ellen wants to continue with her comedy work, and there is a huge scene in Britain,’ a source told the publication.

‘Sitting back and chilling on a beach in Australia is for when she’s ready to retire… Ellen’s not there yet.’

US media reported that Ellen and Portia, who donated money to Kamala Harris’s doomed election campaign, decided to ‘get the hell out’ of the US after Donald Trump’s victory, apparently vowing to never return.

They are said to be delighted with their new property, which was originally built as a farmhouse, and converted 15 years ago into a modern luxury home with six bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Their new house includes a gym, games rooms and separate offices with a one-bedroom cottage and five-bay garage in its grounds.

But it is still said to retain its old-world charm, with outlying barns connected to the main building via glazed passageways.
